Professor Fiona Nolan elected as incoming Vice Chair

Fiona NolanFollowing a ballot of members, MHNAUK warmly welcomes Professor Fiona Nolan, Florence Nightingale Foundation Clinical Professor of Mental Health Nursing at the University of Essex, as incoming Vice Chair for our group. Fiona will serve in this role for 2019 and 2020, before becoming Chair for 2021 and 2022.

Fiona brings expertise and interests in mental health services research, including: crisis and home treatment, therapeutic engagement, workforce development and building capacity in mental healthcare provision in low and middle income countries. She is active in promoting clinical academic career pathways and research leadership for nurses and allied healthcare professionals. Prior to taking up her current role in Essex in 2017 Fiona held joint clinical academic posts between University College London and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, including serving as Deputy Director of Nursing and Research. Her joint appointment is now with Essex Partnership University NHS Trust.
